In the South Weber Stake, we’ve made some recent changes to a few wards and to the High Council. Thanks to those who were released for your faithful service.
2nd Ward Counselors – August 16th
On August 16th we conducted a special meeting with the 2nd Ward to change two members of the bishopric. Here are those who were called, released and will continue serving in that bishopric:
- Bishop – Brandon Buckway
- 1st Counselor – Kory Anderson (released Jacob Porter)
- 2nd Counselor – Joseph Bruderer (released Kansas Whitear)
- Executive Secretary – Justin Poll
- Ward Clerk – Brian Pipkin
1st Ward Bishopric – August 23rd
On August 23rd we conducted a special meeting with the 1st Ward to change the bishop and bishopric members. Here are those who were called, released and will continue serving in that bishopric:
- Bishop – Darrell Dickson (released Kraig Dearden)
- 1st Counselor – Jeff Brown (released Scott Hayes)
- 2nd Counselor – Allen Keetch (released Brandon Poll)
- Executive Secretary – Daniel Pacheco (released Jared Hadley)

Pioneer Ward Realignment and New 9th Ward – August 30
On Sunday August 30th we conducted a special meeting to realign the boundaries of the Pioneer Ward and create the new South Weber 9th Ward. The dividing line between the two wards is the middle of 475 East. Those on the east side of 475 are in the Pioneer Ward. Those on the west side of 475 are in the South Weber 9th Ward. Those living in the Petersen Farms Assisted Living facility will continue to be in the Pioneer Ward. See the attached map.
Both wards will meet in the South Weber Drive building (1401 East South Weber Drive). The Pioneer Ward bishop’s office is in the northwest corner of the building (where it was a few years ago) and the 9th Ward bishop’s office is in the northeast corner of the building. At least for now, both wards will meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month (beginning September 20th). The specific meeting times for your ward and family will be coming soon from your bishopric.
