South Weber Stake is a community of worshipers, united by faith and friendship. We welcome any and all to come socialize, serve and worship with us.
All are welcome to join our Sunday worship services and other meetings. To find a congregation (ward) near you, try the Meetinghouse Locator, which will also provide sacrament meeting times, driving directions, and contact information.
My Ward
Congregations of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are organized geographically and members attend worship services near their home. Each member belongs to a ward or branch. The lay leader of a ward is called a bishop. He is a member of the congregation who has been asked to serve as a volunteer in this position.
Sacrament Meeting
Sacrament meeting is our main Sunday worship service. The meeting is 60 minutes long and conducted by a member of the ward bishopric. This meeting includes the sacrament service and also music, talks, testimonies and prayers.
The sacrament service provides an opportunity for Church members to ponder and remember with gratitude the life, ministry, and Atonement of the Son of God. In preparation for the sacrament each week, Church members take time to examine their lives and repent of sins. We don’t need to be perfect in order to partake of the sacrament, but should have a spirit of humility and repentance in our hearts. Every week we strive to prepare for that sacred ordinance with a broken heart and a contrite spirit (see 3 Nephi 9:20).
